Alpiq sells Energiakolmio

As part of its restructuring programme, Alpiq has sold Finnish energy services provider Energiakolmio. The parties have agreed not to disclose the terms.

Alpiq Holding Ltd. has today completed the sale of its Finnish subsidiary Energiakolmio Oy in Jyväskylä to a local group of investors. The Finnish company, which specialises in portfolio management and energy services and, with a workforce of around 70, generated net revenue of approximately EUR 7 million in 2011, will be managed independently by the group of investors. The parties have agreed not to disclose the terms. The disposal, and hence the withdrawal of Alpiq from Finland, are part of the restructuring measures announced in July 2011 with a view to enhancing the company's strategic and financial flexibility.
