In February 2014, the shoe and outdoor specialist zubischuhe.ch AG opened a new store in Herisau in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. Here, a shop floor space of over 800 square metres offers shoppers the right shoe for every conceivable outdoor activity. The range has recently been expanded with products from famous brands such as Mammut, Jack Wolfskin, Schöffel, Icebreaker and Leki.
Alpiq InTec was entrusted with providing all IT & TelCom installations for the new store. Here, the customer’s number-one priority was an ultramodern network infrastructure with the greatest possible security, an advanced communications solution with smartphone integration and comprehensive WLAN. Yet the IT environment also had to be simple to manage.
“The telecommunications system and network infrastructure, both cable-based and wireless, feature cutting-edge technology, and were installed from a single source. Thanks to the close collaboration, the joint project went very smoothly. As a result, nothing got in the way of the scheduled February 2014 opening day,” states Thomas Zuberbühler, managing director of zubischuhe.ch AG, with satisfaction.
