Alpiq, the leading electricity trader and producer in Switzerland, also specialises in the energy optimisation of buildings through its subsidiary Alpiq InTec. Specific applications connected with that activity will be introduced as early as this summer in the Festival’s new VIP area (Hospitality Garden). Other, more global solutions are being studied.
New "Hospitality Garden" to be lit by Alpiq Inaugurated this year, the new platform dedicated to partner public relations events is intended to be warm and environmentally-friendly at the same time. A challenge that Alpiq as sponsor will help to meet, hand in hand with the Montreux Jazz Festival. This new area, in the gardens of the Montreux Palace Hotel, will be lit by particularly economical LEDs, whilst some of its electricity will be supplied by solar panels.
