Alpiq Holding Ltd. has started the year 2010 successfully: Compared to the same period of the previous year net sales increased by 1.9 percent to 3.71 billion Swiss francs. It was possible to increase the EBITDA by 20.5 percent to 429 million Swiss francs.

At its Annual Media Conference held in Zürich on 24 March 2010, Alpiq Holding Ltd. provided information on the 2009 year-end results. CEO Giovanni Leonardi, CFO Kurt Baumgartner and Michael Wider, Head of Energy Switzerland and Deputy CEO, expressed satisfaction with fiscal 2009. Alpiq is also aiming to focus on further growth in 2010.

Atel Csepel Business has provided support for a wheelchair basket tournament organised by the Hungarian Business Leaders’ Forum. A total of 12 teams entered the competition. Their registration fees as well as the sponsors' contributions will be used to assist wheelchair-bound sports enthusiasts to buy new wheelchairs.
