Alpiq Group

A broad array of energy services for Hungary

Csepeli II Erőmű

Whatever the need for energy production, energy trading or versatile energy services, Alpiq supplies its Hungarian customers with a comprehensive, attractive range of solutions designed to meet all their energy requirements.

The Csepel Group is a key business pillar within Alpiq. Central to its activities is Csepel II power station, a modern and environmentally-friendly combined-cycle gas power plant located to the south of Budapest. Csepel II was the first power station in Hungary to be built with private capital.

Alpiq Energy SE is responsible for Alpiq's energy trading and sales activities in the Central and Eastern European region. Headquartered in the Czech Republic, the European company is present in most EU countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Its international affiliates play a leading role in the region's cross-border energy markets.

In Hungary Alpiq Energy SE operates through its branch office, where the business focus is on  delivering a wide range of services, including portfolio and balance group management, to end customers (primarily medium and large industrial and service enterprises). Alpiq can call on two strong partners in the energy services sector: Kraftszer and GA Magyarország. The former specialises in engineering services for energy, environmental and facility management, while the latter works for the energy industry, for industrial customers in the telecommunications sector, and for public authorities.
